Our Beliefs
Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, Creator and Lord of the universe, eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the incarnate word of God, the promised Messiah, Son of God; born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for atonement of sin and rose from the dead for our justification. He ascended to heaven and intercedes for us. He is the only mediator between God and Man.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, promised by the Father. He has come to glorify Jesus Christ, sanctify the believer and equip the Church.

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired word. It is our complete Statement of Faith, in matters of faith and conduct. It is without error in all its teachings, given to the Christian for guidance and edification.

We believe in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, given to His disciples to reach all nations. It is Christ who leads us as we reach Muslims around the world.

We believe that all humans have sinned and fallen short of the Kingdom of God. Only through faith in Christ can they experience salvation and see the Kingdom of God.

We believe in one universal Church that is formed from every person washed by the Blood of the Lamb, regardless of their race, culture, religious background, and age.

We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in glory to raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to completion. God will fully manifest His Kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and a new earth, in which He will be glorified forever.

Who is Crescent Project? Crescent Project is a Christian non-profit which enables Christians to share the hope of Jesus with Muslims.

Where is Crescent Project located? Crescent Project is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, with numerous field staff locations across North America.

Are you trying to convert Muslims? Crescent Project is focused on loving Muslims and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ. Our approach to witnessing is to serve as ambassadors for Jesus to our Muslim friends (2 Cor. 5:20), trusting in the sovereignty of God and the Holy Spirit’s power to draw and awaken them to the truth of Christ. We believe in taking the initiative, sharing the love of Christ, and proclaiming the Gospel truth in thought, word and deed.

Are Allah and God the same? Christian Arabs have used “Allah” as the Arabic word for God for centuries – even before Islam came into being. Therefore, it’s a legitimate use of the word in Arabic. However, we teach that the character and personality of the god of Islam is not the same character and personality as the God who authored the Bible and revealed Himself to us through Jesus.

If I want to read the Qur’an in English, what version should I get? We suggest either Yusuf Ali’s translation or the Penguin Classics version (by Dawood).

How can I prove to a Muslim that the Qur’an is false? We encourage you to focus instead on showing your Muslim friend that the Bible is true and trustworthy. Our Bridges training, as well as Fouad Masri’s book Is the Injeel Corrupted?, can help you to answer the common Muslim objection that the Bible has been changed.

Why should I support Crescent Project financially?  Seven million Muslims call North America home, but very few have received an authentic Christian witness. Crescent Project is helping to fill the gap by raising up thousands of Christians equipped to love and reach out to their Muslim neighbors. Your financial partnership with Crescent Project enables more Christians to be trained and more materials to be produced, so that more Muslims are reached for the glory of God.

Crescent Project is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and is audited annually by a certified public accounting firm.
